Bankrobber is a review of the classic banker's lamp or Emeralite, does it sounds familiar? It is the typical lamp located at the bankers, accountants or lawyers table crowned by a green tulip that concentrates the light in a single point. Pablo Carballal, Bankrobber’s creator, has revised this classic creating a lamp made exclusively of brass. What’s the result? A completely new image of this design but without losing the essence that characterizes it. Among the characteristics of this brass lamp stands out the shape of its head which, in Carballal's words, "exaggerates its frontal inclination, sharpening the gesture towards what shines like a bird’s beak". The originality of its name is due to the song Bankrobber by The Clash and it’s a tribute from its creator to those who want to light up their booty after a well done hit.
